Optical Network Technology (Optical burst switching (OBS) networks)

Traffic grooming is one of the major issues faced by the optical networks. Traffic grooming occurs due to the speedy transmission of the large size of data. We can apply different methods for the traffic grooming in an optical WDM network. The cost effective solution will be which is optimized for grooming the performance in an optical network using the hybrid algorithms. In this work, our research team had presented a comparison of the WDO algorithm with other heuristics for solving traffic grooming problem in terms of hypervolume and set coverage indicator.

3. FPIWD hybrid with simulated annealing algorithm (SA)
4. Wind-Driven Optimization Algorithm
